Edwin Diaz received a standing ovation after working a perfect seventh inning in the Mets’ 7-6 exhibition victory over the Marlins at Clover Park.

The right-hander has retired all six batters he’s faced in the Grapefruit League.

On this day he didn’t record a strikeout.

Mixed bag

Mark Vientos committed a throwing error at third base, but a day after striking out four times he launched a homer to left field.

The blast was his fourth this spring.

Caught my eye

Jose Iglesias added to his solid spring by hitting a walk-off homer in the ninth inning.

The veteran infielder is a non-roster invitee to camp.
