Kurt Russell Returning To His Greatest Role? Fans Get Excited After Actor’s Comments
Kurt Russell starred in Big Trouble in Little China as truck driver Jack Burton, who finds himself in a conflict in San Francisco’s Chinatown involving an ancient Chinese prince and a crime lord kidnapping the fiancee of Jack’s best friend. While the film has since gained a sizable fanbase through video store rentals and direct sales, it was a commercial flop upon release. The reported budget was somewhere in the ballpark of $19 to $25 million and it only made $11 million, with reviews being relatively mixed.
Now that Kurt Russell’s Big Trouble in Little China is an iconic classic, there is a much better chance that a sequel could be a massive success at the box office. Especially if Dwayne Johnson, who is usually a box office draw, is involved in the project. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see if Russell, Carpenter, and Johnson can make this project happen.
