Joann ‘Jo’ O’Donnell Obituary, A Radiology Champion With The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals Has Died – Death – The world obits
Joann ‘Jo’ O’Donnell Obituary, Death – Joanne (Jo) O’Donnell was a beloved colleague and friend to everyone at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Their loss has left them in profound grief. The Radiology Department lost a shining star on December 1st at Priscilla Bacon Lodge after a courageous battle with cancer. Jo, who was known to all who were lucky enough to know her, was an inspiration.
Beginning in January of 2010 as a Radiology Department Assistant (RDA), Jo’s journey at the Trust began. She became an AP in Radiology in 2011 and was one of the first APs in Plain Film at the NNUH in September 2013 thanks to her passion and commitment to her work. Jo was the epitome of professionalism and achieved remarkable results as an AP. Her dogged pursuit of producing high-quality images and maintaining ideal departmental standards demonstrated her dedication to providing exceptional patient care.
It wasn’t just her business acumen that made an impression on everyone she met; it was also her contagious enthusiasm and unique laugh. The Radiology team is deeply saddened by her passing. A book of condolence has been set up in Plain Film, Radiology, where family and friends can pay their respects and share memories. Breckland Crematorium will host a memorial service for Jo on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 12:00 pm. There is no need to wear traditional black attire;
instead, guests are encouraged to wear whatever makes them feel most comfortable or recalls Jo’s personality. Attendees of the service will be able to attend a reception at Toftwood Social Club afterwards, where they can remember Jo and celebrate her lifelong influence. In her roles as a loyal friend, partner, mother, sister, aunt, and cherished member of the family, Jo has left an impression on many lives. I will always cherish her memory, and I will miss her very much.
