According to police Detective Jason Gasper, surveillance footage from that evening showed Aldrich walking into the club carrying an AR-15-style rifle with six magazines and a pistol while wearing a red T-shirt and a tan ballistic vest.

Aldrich started shooting indiscriminately as soon as he entered.

Family relatives of the victims talked movingly about their loved ones and vented their rage during the hearing on Monday in the courtroom.

Several survivors also spoke forward. Raymond Green Vance, Kassandra Fierro’s boyfriend, who was also killed, said, “I will never get the chance to marry the love of my life.

I’ll never be able to have children with Raymond. Raymond will never again be in my sight, ears, or feelings.

Jessica Fierro, whose daughter’s boyfriend was killed that night, remarked, “This thing sitting in this courtroom is not a human; it is a monster.” The devil stands ready to welcome you.
