How to Remove Suntan Lotion From Hardwood Floors
When you have hardwood floors, the prospect of stains and damage is a continuing concern. Even when you strive to minimize damaging situations, they will invariably occur from time to time--especially if you have children. When spills like suntan lotion occur on your hardwood floors, wipe them up as quickly as possible. Then clean the remaining greasy residue with a strong degreasing product.
-
Wipe up the spill immediately with a dry cloth to remove as much of the suntan lotion as possible.
-
Saturate another clean cloth with water and wipe the area again to continue cleaning and removing the suntan lotion from the floor.
-
Spray the stained area with a degreaser cleaner. Allow the degreaser to sit on the stain for five minutes. Lightly scrub at the suntan lotion stain with a clean cloth to remove the residual grease. Rinse the area with water.
-
Repeat step three if any of the suntan lotion remains.
