How To Join The Blades of the Darkmoon Covenant (DS3) – FandomSpot

To join the Blades of the Darkmoon, you’ll have to do two things:

• Meet Sirris in Firelink Shrine to gain the Darkmoon Loyalty Gesture
• Find the hiding place of Yorshka in Anor londo and join the Blades of the Darkmoon

We’ll cover exactly how to do both down below.

Meeting Sirris of The Sunless Realms

This quest is highly missable so be sure to complete these steps as soon as possible.

Once you reach the Halfway Fortress Bonfire in the Road of Sacrifices, speak to both NPCs there until they begin to repeat themselves.

Next, you’ll need to find the Dreamchaser’s Ashes in Farron Keep.

If you’ve already unlocked the secret Old Wolf of Farron Bonfire, warp there to find the Ashes behind an illusory wall outside the Bonfire room.

If not, warp to the Keep Ruins Bonfire for the next closest spawn point.

From the Bonfire, walk forward and follow the path downwards until it meets with the swamp below.

Turn to your right to see a huge stone structure with some Slugs to its left.

Head through the swamp towards these slugs to find them guarding a ladder that seems to ascend into the sky.

Climb the ladder, and turn right once you reach the top to find a room with the Old Wolf of Farron Bonfire.

Light the Bonfire and step back out of the door you came in through, then turn left and continue to follow the path around the corner.

Climb the stairs here, then turn left immediately and hit the suspicious looking wall ahead of you to break the illusion.

With the wall knocked down, you can walk into this secret area and pick up the Dreamchaser’s Ashes from the corpse ahead of you.

With the Ashes collected, use the Bonfire here to warp back to Firelink Shrine.

Speak to the Shrine Handmaiden in the tunnel ahead and choose the ‘Give Umbral Ash’ option.

Hand over the Dreamchaser’s Ashes to unlock some new items in her shop.

More important than the new items, though, is the appearance of Sirris. Warp away from Firelink, then return back to the Shrine to find Sirris on the stairs nearby.

Talk to Sirris until she grants you the Darkmoon Loyalty Gesture, your ticket to entering the Blades of The Darkmoon Covenant later in the game.

Finding Company Captain Yorshka

Once you’ve gained the Darkmoon Loyalty Gesture, you’ll need to find the Covenant leader to gain the Blade of the Darkmoon Pledge.

In the second half of the game, you’ll naturally come across the Anor Londo Bonfire. It’s from here that you can find Yorshka.

Once you do, turn away from the staircase ahead of you, and walk back towards the spinning tower that you brought you to Anor Londo.

Head down the spiral staircase at the center of the tower until you reach the bottom, then walk down the small pathway that seemingly leads to nowhere.

From the edge of the pathway you’ll see a tower nearby with an unlit bonfire outside it – this is where Company Captain Yorshka resides.

While it may look inaccessible, you can reach this tower in a very simple way: walk off of the edge of the pathway.

In this seemingly fatal gap, there’s actually an invisible pathway that leads all the way across to our destination.

Calmly walk across this secret pathway in a straight line until you’re level with the outcropping on the tower to your right, then walk towards the tower to drop down to solid ground.

Light the Bonfire, then turn to your left to find Yorshka. Speak with her, and choose to ‘Perform Darkmoon Loyalty’ in the dialog box that pops up.

Once you do, you’ll receive the Blade of the Darkmoon Pledge, as well as the ability to trade your Proofs of a Concord Kept for the Darkmoon Ring and Darkmoon Blade Miracle.
