How to Attach Sandpaper to a Pole Sander

You can create a smoother more even surface finish by using a pole sander on walls and ceilings. Designed to hold sandpaper on a swivel head connected to a extension pole, a pole sander makes it easier for sandpaper to reach high and out-of-reach locations.

Any grade of sandpaper can easily be attached to a pole sander.

Removing excess compound around fasteners and smoothing drywall seams is a typical use of a pole sander.

1. Cut the sandpaper to the size of your universal swivel head.

2. Press and open the two heavy duty spring-loaded clamps located at either end of your swivel head. Slide your sandpaper piece into place. Close the clamps. The sandpaper should not slip when you close the clamps.

3. Connect the extension pole to your universal swivel head and lock it into place.

4. Begin sanding. Replace the sandpaper with a new piece the moment you notice you have lost effectiveness with your current sandpaper sheet.
